Upcoming & Recurring Events
SAC events run throughout the school year. Exact dates and times are set by the school calendar and announced via Earl Haig’s usual channels—announcements, bulletin boards, and sometimes this page when we have details to share. Below is an overview of the types of events we run and how to stay in the loop.
Spirit Weeks & Theme Days
We typically run several spirit or theme weeks each year. These might align with homecoming, holidays, or cultural awareness periods. Dress-up days, colours, and small activities are coordinated so that as many students as possible can take part. Keep an eye on school announcements at the start of each term for the schedule.
Fundraisers & Drives
Fundraising events—whether for a local food bank, a charity partner, or a school initiative—are announced in advance so students and families can participate. We often collaborate with other clubs and with staff. Dates and how to contribute are shared through the main Earl Haig website and in-school communications.
Cultural & Social Events
Cultural nights, socials, and similar events are planned with input from student groups and the school. They are designed to be inclusive and safe. Timing usually fits around the school calendar and space availability. For the most current list, the school office and our programs page are good starting points.
Where to Get Details
The single best source for accurate, up-to-date event information is Earl Haig Secondary School itself. The main school site at earlhaig.ca and in-school announcements will have the latest dates, times, and any changes. SAC supports and promotes these events; we do not replace the school’s official communications. If you are a student or parent and have a question about a specific event, contact the school or use our contact page for SAC-related inquiries. For a broader picture of what we do, see our programs and community pages.
